Relaxation and Meditation
Meditation is a way of connecting yourself to your ‘true- self’ – that part of you which is detached from ego, fears, aches, worries etc. It is that part of you that is wise, loving and peaceful. Within the stress of modern day living, many of us become detached from our true selves, it becomes easy to lose our sense of purpose. Meditation is a way of checking in with yourself. How many times a week do you ask other people how they are feeling? How many times do you ask yourself?
One of the most popular forms of meditation is visualisation. Please note that it is not necessary to be a ‘visual’ person in order to benefit from this. For some people it is very natural to close their eyes and ‘see’ – others, tend to ‘feel’ what is happening in a visualisation, this is just as good!
Relaxation incorporates breathing techniques with visualisation plus physical techniques. It is very easy and can be used to promote peoples confidence at meetings, events, to lessen any stress aswell as to aid sleep. They are simple techniques which can be used at anytime anywhere to help release tension, anger, frustration and to empower you to be in control of your life and feelings.
